Sip 'n' Stick & Blackout Poetry Workshop
Come and try something different!
Service Description
Our usual Sip n Stick will be combined with some more Blackout Poetry this week - come along and try one or both of these fun and simple creative activities. What is Blackout Poetry? Blackout poetry is a creative way of transforming existing text into something entirely new. Using a page from a book, newspaper, or magazine, you’ll black out unwanted words, leaving behind a poetic phrase or hidden message that emerges from the text. It’s a mix of creativity, intuition, and a little bit of play! But it doesn’t stop there — once your poem is revealed, you can decorate, paint, or illustrate the page to bring your words to life. Add colour, patterns, or imagery to enhance the mood of your poem and turn it into a unique work of art. Whether you love words, art, or simply trying new things, blackout poetry is a fun and accessible form of creative expression. Discover your creativity in a whole new way with Blackout Poetry! This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves words, enjoys creative expression, or simply wants to try something different. No writing experience? No problem!
